QuizUp is a classic trivia game by Plain Vanilla Game and Glu Mobile where you compete against random opponents or your friends in one vs one battle, the game consist of basically infinite topics thanks to the community topic creator mode

In QuizUp, players are free to select almost any topics they want to choose, from geeky, science-y, pop culture, and much more topic is available officially in the game, and the numbers of those topics is ever expanding, with official updates adding new topics and quizzes to answer, and with the community topic creator where the players themselves can make their on topic based on the game platform.

The game concept itself isn’t new, there are lots of trivia game out there, but QuizUp just has this satisfying feel to it. the level system and the ranking system makes you don’t want to stop playing the game, the achievements are plentiful to unlock and the leaderboards are separated by each topics, so that you can ace your favorite topic and show off your achievements on your profile

Every Quiz session consist of 7 Question you have to answer correctly, and all of them is served in a multiple 4 choice style. you don’t lose points for being wrong, but being quick gives you more points. every correct answer is valued 10 points, and with the 10 second timer, each remaining seconds left after you answer is valued another 1 point, making a total of 20 points per question. to mix things up however, the last round is worth 20 points, with each remaining seconds worth 2 points, basically doubling the total score in last round for that extra adrenaline rush.

There’s also a single-player mode where player answers endless questions of the chosen topic, and see how far can they get without making and wrong answers. but the twist is, every few questions there will be a wild card question out of the topic the player chooses, making it much more difficult if you had no idea about the wild card topic.

The other interesting thing about this game is the social media style main menu and topic menu, which you can share things related to the topic and have discussions with people who also follows the topic, like a mini fanbase for each topic. I think this feature is a really good addition to the game so that players can interact with people of same interests.

Overall this game is a really good, solid trivia game for training your brain, competing with friends, and just for hanging out with people of same interest. QuizUp is available for Android and IOS for free with in-app purchases.
